Lacande began with a simple conviction: that a scent, like a piece of music, is something to be composed and lived with. Each candle is made to be kept and returned to, not used up and forgotten.

Every candle pairs a fragrance with a playlist, the two chosen to be experienced together and linked, physically, by a tag pressed into the label. Light the candle, follow the music, and a room becomes a season. The work is in choosing which one.

We work slowly and in small batches, from a studio that thinks more like a publishing house than a factory. What we make is meant to be kept, returned to, and remembered.
